THE STORMS - Mother Ocean is calm tonight She's like slow rolling glass I hear the distant crashing of the waves For me, a sound that nothing can surpass The desolate serenity A storm somewhere in the distance It will make its way and gather power Taking the path of least resistance It will bring the pouring rain It will bring the lightning and the thunder Mother Nature's unrelenting fury Casts a spell that rolls you under For now, I smile I revel in the calm before the storm The dark clouds that roll slowly by Underneath the summer night skies so warm A gentle falling rain It crackles in the falling light The serenading of falling raindrops In the gentle cascading of the falling night These rare quiet moments Stillness that sings with harmonious peace That calms the storm inside my heart Making the unrelenting cacophony cease - JB, 12JUL2K24

Great work, John!
I especially love this stanza:
A gentle falling rain
It crackles in the falling light
The serenading of falling raindrops
In the gentle cascading of the falling night
This is good. It feels so timely since the forecast calls for rain here shortly! Very tranquil!
